Getting Smart Podcast | Insights from Parents on “Back to School”
A year ago, Getting Smart launched the book, Smart Parents: Parenting for Powerful Learning by Bonnie Lathram, Carri Schneider and Tom Vander Ark. The year-long project started with collecting blog posts from parents across the globe and culminated in a book designed to share the wide perspective of how parents are getting involved with their children’s learning — both at home and at school.
In this podcast, we revisit the book and interviewed parents about how they are preparing their students for back to school. The podcast features insights and advice from parents of children as young as 1 and as old as 12 about school decision making and encouraging powerful learning at home.
If you haven’t had a chance to engage in the #SmartParents campaign, it isn’t too late. We continue to run blogs as part of the series regularly on GettingSmart.com, and in celebration of our anniversary we are giving away the digital ebook of Smart Parents: Parenting for Powerful Learning for FREE.
