EdTech 10: From #iNACOL14, With Love

There has been a lot of activity outside of the iNACOL conference this week! Check out some highlights:

Digital Developments

New OER Library. There is now a repository that allows districts and teachers to seamlessly access, organize and share from Learning.com (@Learningdotcom). Curriculum Foundry, provides access to vetted, standards-aligned content where teachers and districts can create, combine, and share curriculum in an efficient way. Thus, putting more time back into the pockets of teachers.

Blended Schools and Tools

Smart Schools in the Big Apple. Voters in New York and New Jersey seem to be interested in supporting technology and internet access in their schools. A $2 Billion Smart Schools bond act will help that bring new technology and access. New York City has also put an end to their cell phone ban and will be utilizing student phones as tools for academic learning.

Sharing Your #BlendedJourney. In partnership with DreamBox Learning (@DreamBox_Learn), Tom presented an Innovations in Blended Learning session this week at iNACOL. The interactive conversation was a reminder of the great (and tough) work being down across the country. Check out #BlendedJourney to hear the challenges and successes, the current trends, and to share your own blended story!
