Getting Smart Podcast | Boise Is Alive With Possibility
On a recent trip to Boise, Idaho, with the One Stone National Advisory team, we had an opportunity to experience multiple aspects of this growing city filled with an undeniable presence of innovation and an even more exciting culture of possibility.
From the 65,000 square foot state of the art community center, JUMP (Jack’s Urban Meeting Place) to Trailhead, a start-up rich hub that fuels “dreamers and doers” in their entrepreneurial pursuits, it is a city that is alive with possibility.
As we navigated the robust resources that Boise has developed, we were excited to catch up with Gordon Jones, the Dean of Boise State University’s College of Innovation and Design. Nestled in the heart of the university, we were greeted by the college’s open space landing pad that was armed with the “tools” of design. It was collaborative rich, with glass-walled meeting spaces and a design studio makerspace that combined to deliver a physical presence eager to fuel a mindset of innovation.
With an intentional learning design structured by Mr. Jones and his team, we were fortunate to spend some time learning about the model and vision of evolution for the opportunities that it aspires to deliver, and share more in this podcast:
