Infographic | Impact Investing Opportunities

Over the past few months we had the opportunity to speak with over 30 thought leaders in education and philanthropy about impact opportunities in education. The research resulted in our publication of 25 Impact Opportunities in U.S. K-12 Education in partnership with Vulcan Inc., a Paul Allen company. The complementary infographic below highlights the key impact categories identified by the project advisors through interviews and during a workshop in Seattle. (For more on the workshop see the YouTube playlist of the advisors impact ideas.) We’ve also highlighted five promising projects that would make an immediate impact on K-12 education today. As foundations and philanthropists create a funding strategy deciding how to fund opportunities is vital. We’ve laid out four questions an investor can ask that will lead to a complementary investment vehicle. As the conclusion in our graphic states, there are several ways to make a positive impact on student outcomes – the time to action is now!
