30-minute webcast on Thursday, January 9th, 2014 demonstrates how online therapy can be effective across a wide-range of special needs cases

SAN FRANCISCO, December 23, 2013 – As more research and anecdotal evidence surfaces about the effectiveness of online speech therapy, special educators and therapists are finding that it can also be used with students with severe disabilities. PresenceLearning, the leader in online speech therapy and other special education-related services for K-12 students, is hosting a free webcast on using online delivery to serve students with severe disabilities as part of its recently-launched “30-minute SPEDcasts” series. The webcast, “5 Surprising Cases About Online Therapy,” will take place on Thursday, January 9th, 2014 at 1 PM ET (10 AM PT).

During the half-hour presentation, senior PresenceLearning therapists will discuss their experiences with providing online therapy to students who are non-verbal, deaf and hard of hearing, high on the autism spectrum, have seizure disorders, and more, demonstrating how online therapy is effective for students with disabilities who are beyond the mild or moderate range.
