Backupify has created an infographic to explain the rapid adoption of Google Apps in education. They explain in a blog post that “Google Apps for Education is quickly gaining traction because connectivity is now an essential part of everyday learning. Students and teachers can easily collaborate in real time through a web application and the vast majority are already familiar with Google and gmail.”

With the mass adoption of schools using Google Apps, Backupify, “the leading provider of cloud-to-cloud backup and recovery solutions for Software as a Service (SaaS) applications” has grown it’s customer base to nearly 100,000 users. They are allowing institutions the ability to backup their data with ease and gain control of their data assets on Google Apps.

With privacy concerns consistently becoming an issue with the online world of saving data, Backupify is reducing the IT burden by providing a secure secondary location to save data and by helping meeting compliance requirements for data privacy and retention.

What a great info-graphic! The stats displayed here are some of the reasons that I wrote the book: Google Apps Meets Common Core. Google Apps for Education is a world class platform that can get students ready for college and career. As it says, educators from all over the world use Google Apps so students can create, collaborate and share their work.
